Residents Housing Association on the road

On February 5, 2000 Residents Housing Association (RHA) delegates from Columbus State University were in the road at 4:30 Saturday morning.

They were headed to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro for their Georgia Residence Hall Organization (GRHO) conference 2000.
The executive members leading this delegation were Jonathan Barron, Vice-President Courtyard II, Miguel Hernandez, National Communication Coordinator (NCC), and Vontresa Raven, NCC in training.

The building representatives on the trip were Misty Williams, Priscilla Mason, Tierra Ovens, Kirsty Giles, Brenda Martinez, and KeNasha Howard.

The advisor for this trip was Dana Schraufnagel, Director of Residence Life.

During this short six-hour conference your RHA delegates represented CSU well! Jonathan Barron and Misty Williams presented a session entitled “We’ve got to stop meeting like this!”

Their session discussed helpful hints on how to run a meeting effectively.

Throughout the day each member cheered, chanted, and made the Cougar’s presence known at GSU. How well known...enough to bring home the “Most Spirited Award.”

There was also a state position open on GRHO’s executive board.
The title of the position was Go-Georgia Communication Coordinator (Co-GCC).

Three students were interviewed and presented a summary of their goals for the position.

One of our very own Cougars, Miguel Hernandez, was appointed that afternoon. He will be responsible for the quarterly GRHO newsletter and updates to the GRHO web site.

All of the RHA delegates slept on the way home, and who could blame them after such a long day at work.

Be proud fellow Cougars! RHA represented CSU well and left paw prints all over GSU. Go Cougars, Go!
